Overview:
Interventional Endoscopy Associates is a multi-physician practice specializing in advanced therapeutic endoscopy. We are looking to add a full time APP to our current staff of Advanced Practice Providers. We are seeking a motivated individual who seeks to work in a collaborative and patient focused environment with emphasis on providing the highest quality of patient care in a family like setting.
Responsibilities:
Inpatient coverage on a rotating schedule. We are credentialed at multiple hospital facilities to include Banner Del Webb, Banner Boswell, Banner University, Honor Health Deer Valley, Honor Health Shea. Rounding duties include single facility per day when covering.
Outpatient clinic to include pathology follow ups, symptoms based visits, pre and post procedure evaluation
Reviewing and discussing pathology and imaging results, new patient referrals, addressing patient phone calls
Scribe 1-2 times per week for supervising physician

Provides patient services under supervision of a physician. Elicits detailed patient histories, performs physical examinations, gives treatment, prescribes certain drugs and counsels patients on health problems. Adhere to the organization's credentials Allied Health scope of practice. Percentage of time spent performing duties varies according to physician and office needs. Identifies short-term and long range patient care issues that must be addressed; provides information and commentary on patient condition to physician and makes recommendations. Implements recommendations as approved. Interviews patients, performs physical examinations, and obtains information about and updates medical histories. Administers or orders diagnostics tests. Interprets test results. Collaborates with other departments and outside businesses to ensure ongoing continuity of care. Remains current on existing and new clinical practices, legislation, and the dynamics of patient management plans.
Qualifications:
Gastroenterology experience is helpful but not required, preferably 2+ years of experience as APP but willing to train the appropriate new graduate candidate
Master’s Degree from accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program
Active national and state license
Active DEA
ACLS/BLS Certification

§ Rounding at Scottsdale Shea Medical Center 1 in 8 Saturdays , comp day provided the following week
